The Relaxation Power of a Recliner

How Far do You go to Relax?

In my admittedly and relatively short lifespan, I have encountered some people who go to great lengths to get the rest and relaxation that they require. In the same time, I have also known people who did not go much distance to get their R&R.  I find myself in the middle ground when it comes to these two types of people.

The ones in the first category are, to me, the ones who plan for months in advance and set up their vacation so they have a great chance to get away from it all. Now, the ones on the opposite end of the spectrum are those who enjoy taking a week off work to spend most of that time relaxing at home. I can say that my dad is on that side of things and it happens to be much to my mom's chagrin. Luckily, my dad is a man of compromise and they have traveled coast to coast across the country.

I like to think I am in the middle of the pack when it comes to how I want to relax and get away from things. If I take a week of vacation, I will typically reserve at least two days after the trip to spend time relaxing in my home. I'm not sure why, but it really gets to me to come straight back from a vacation and go to work. I need to be home and unpack and take care of all the follow-up doldrum activities and then have a nice day to lounge about the house before I head back to the salt mines, so to speak. I have noticed that I enjoy my new recliner. It's funny but I had not noticed how worn out the old one was until I thought I would hang on to it and have an extra seat in my living room when my new recliner was delivered. It was like night and day moving from one to another. Luckily, I got a great deal on it and since I like having two recliners in place of the love seat, I will just buy another one.
