Just Pull the Secret Book
Doors hidden behind bookcases have been used in all kinds of media from episodes of Scooby-Doo to Stephen King books. When it comes to this commonly used device in stories, it may feel trite to some, but to others, it still holds its mystique. I happen to be one that still loves the novel idea of a hidden door in movies and books even if it may be a bit cheesy. I've always thought about how I would use a secret door and the only practical place in my home to put one would be at the entrance to the master bedroom's walk-in closet. Then, the more I think about it, the more I fear the novelty of it would wear off as time goes on. Plus, some people might think I actually am hiding some secret behind the door. Like I said, it's a novel idea and I do own enough books that I could fill several doors.
Practical Bookcases
If you are like me and you aren't a fan of having digital books, then you may have too many physical ones around your house. I even bought a headboard for my bed that is partially a bookcase. It holds about 40 books and it is full. I found myself having to put a lot of my collection into boxes and into storage. When I came to the realization that I would most likely never get the books back out of storage and read them again, I decided to do something about it. I decided to buy some bookcases and display my favorite books and series. Because I still lacked enough room for my entire collection, I donated the ones I decided I could live without to the local library. One of my friends suggested I sell them on eBay but I didn't want to deal with that. Besides, I want as many local people as possible to read these same books.
