Do You Have Enough Chairs?
Do you host a large group at any time during the holiday season? If so, then do you have enough seats for everyone? We have all been in a situation where we were either entertaining or being entertained and there weren't enough chairs to go around. Sometimes that's not a bad thing and it just brings people closer together, both figuratively and literally. A lot of families that gather during the holiday season have tables and chairs that sit in storage for most of the year. We bring them out and dust them off so that we can set up an extra place for everyone to eat Thanksgiving dinner or, perhaps to play games. What I am used to using is an old card table and some extra folding chairs; both of which are of questionable integrity for a person my size.
The "Kid" Table
You may or may not have experienced having to sit at the "kid" table during Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. In my family, it was the aforementioned questionable items where the kids sat. Inevitably, someone who was not the appropriate age or size would have to sit with all the kids when they ate. When I was a teenager, I could think of no greater disgrace than to have to sit with all my younger cousins and siblings. I would look over every time the adult table burst out with laughter and I would become sullen, wondering what I had missed. Eventually, as I got older, I didn't care where I was sitting. All I wanted was to taste the delicious bounty the family had cooked. Most likely, everyone has indulged a little too much food during the holiday season and become desperately in need of a substantial nap.
Dining Room Sets For Sale in Lubbock, TX
If you are looking for furniture for sale in Lubbock, TX, you may want to check out The House of Furniture. Since my family is growing, we decided to upgrade to a larger dining room set so that not quite so many adult family members are banished to the kid's table. We also decided to get a small table that could fit easily in the attic. Lightweight and easily carried, the new smaller table and chairs won't break anyone's back to move in and out of storage.
