Space: The final frontier... wait, that is the wrong blog. All jokes aside, space can mean a lot of different things to everyone. If you are like me, you are always looking for space to put things that you own. I am actually in the process of trying to declutter my house. I have so many books and DVDs/Blu-Rays that I honestly, don't know what to do with them. While my books are not going anywhere, the movies have been divided into two groups: the ones I know I watch, and the ones I know I won't ever watch again. Sadly, one of the groups is much larger than the other, and I don't know how I managed to buy so many movies that aren't that good. However, I have asked my siblings to come over with their kids and browse the unwanted films to see if they would like to take any off my hands. After that, I'm not sure what to do with any remaining ones. 

As for my books, on the other hand, I need a new bookcase or some shelving to store them out of the way. My house is like a poorly kept library with small stacks of literature everywhere. Of course, I use that term loosely since most of my books are fantasy or sci-fi novels. Still, I love them, and I can look at them and remember the stories I've read and instantly be transported to the world inside the covers. Books are so much more of an investment of time and effort, and that may be one of the reasons I just can't get rid of them. Even a poorly written one will have a place on my bookshelf just because I finished it. There it will sit, even if only a reminder of the time it took to read it. Honestly, this is why I need to get some new furniture for my home.

I know that when I was a child, nothing sounded worse than the idea of a nap. I mean, you already had to spend so much time sleeping at night, for some reason. It was such an alien notion to me that nap time became an anathema when I was younger. I just never understood why anyone would want to spend any more time than they had to asleep. However, As I got older, I began to long for the days of Kindergarten where there was a nice long nap time in the middle of the day. I remember thinking during my senior year of high school how mice it would be to have nap time again so it didn't take long to understand the value of a little extra sleep. Now that I am "grown-up", finding the time for a nap is like finding the lost city of Atlantis. I know this will sound like preaching to the choir to most people, but between cleaning, work, meetings, and other responsibilities, there just isn't that much time to get in a good little nap.

Typically it's on the weekends when I get the chance to either sleep in, which is even rarer or take a nap, I like my bed. You might even say I have a love affair with it. In this new day and age, it seems that as the first generation of gamers has grown older, the stigma of enjoying video games has become less of a negative stereotype. For some people, back in the early days, videos gaming was a subculture and so you may have tried to keep your interests in it hidden. Luckily, today's video game culture is embraced by most other people, even if they don't play them, and the games themselves are even viewed as a form of art, sometimes.

While my time playing any one of my gaming systems has become less and less, it is still an escape to put in a disc and be transported to some different dimension or realm that I enjoy from time to time. The thing about it is, I really like to be as comfortable as possible when I play a game. That level of comfort relies heavily on the furniture that I use. A low-quality office chair can make things uncomfortable very quickly. The same can be said if I am in the living room on my PS4 and the good recliner has been claimed by a friend already. How Comfortable is Your Furniture?

There are some things you can ask yourself and others and there is a definitive answer, always. Now, the answer might change in time, but there will always be an answer to the question. For instance, if someone asked you the question "What is the least comfortable thing you have ever had to sit on?", how would you respond? Interestingly, when questions that are asked about the best or worst things you've interacted with are posed, no matter what you've experienced, you have an answer. Perhaps you have never sat on something that you would consider uncomfortable, you might say? I am highly skeptical that every sofa, chair, bench, rock, log, or lawn was of the exact same texture and quality. As it stands, I can think of several seatings where I had to endure at times.

Worst Seat Ever

There was one time when I was at an outdoor concert. It was a really pretty venue. There was this open area on a hillside. The view was amazing and you could look out over the clearing to see a lake and lots of oak trees. Down by the stage was a small pool and fountain that you could hear babbling when all was quiet. The whole place just had a great feel to it that seemed so peaceful. The seating, however, was literally rock hard. The stadium-style seats were made of actual stone from the local area. Rows of natural uncut stone were held together with mortar and while it was a neat idea and it was pretty to look at, you soon discovered something after spending some time sitting. Since the stones were not uniform at all, some were big enough that two people could share them. Others were so small that you might have to sit on multiple ones. They were all somewhat flat, but not so much that you didn't start to feel uncomfortable quickly. I ended up sitting on two stones and each one had a convex curve in them that apexed in the middle. I was completely unable to enjoy myself due to discomfort.
